Rylio ("we", "our", or "us") is a reminder and habit-tracking application for iOS, developed by Ben10Apps. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Rylio app.
The short version: Rylio stores your reminders and habits entirely on your device. No account is required. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
By using Rylio, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
Data you create in the app
Reminder titles, notes, due dates, recurrence rules, habit names, and any other content you enter is stored locally on your device only. This data is never uploaded to our servers.
App preferences
Settings such as your chosen theme, notification preferences, and language are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults and SwiftData).
Purchase information
When you subscribe to Rylio Premium, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service, to verify and manage your subscription status. RevenueCat may collect an anonymous device identifier and your purchase history for this purpose. No payment card details are ever shared with us or RevenueCat — all payment processing is handled entirely by Apple.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not require an account or email address to use Rylio
- We do not read, analyze, or transmit the content of your reminders or habits
- We do not access your contacts, calendar, photos, or any other app data
- We do not collect your location
- We do not use advertising identifiers or track you across apps or websites
- We do not build behavioral profiles for advertising purposes
Because almost all data stays on your device, our use of information is minimal:
- App content (reminders, habits) — used solely to display, schedule, and deliver your reminders on your device. Never leaves your device.
- App preferences — used to personalize the app experience (theme, language, notification settings) on your device only.
- Purchase data via RevenueCat — used exclusively to verify your Rylio Premium subscription status and unlock premium features. Not used for advertising or profiling.
We do not use any data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose beyond operating and improving the Rylio app.
Rylio is built offline-first. All your reminders, habits, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No reminder or habit data is transmitted to external servers.
The only network communication Rylio performs is:
- Contacting RevenueCat's servers to verify your subscription status when the app launches or when you make a purchase
This communication uses HTTPS (TLS) encryption. If you do not purchase a subscription, no data is sent to RevenueCat.
Since your reminder data lives entirely on your device, it is protected by iOS's built-in security features, including device passcode and Face ID/Touch ID encryption. We have no ability to access or recover this data.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Full stop.
We share limited information only in the following circumstances:
- RevenueCat — we share an anonymous device identifier and purchase transaction data with RevenueCat solely to manage your subscription. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Apple — your App Store purchase is processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive only a confirmation that a valid purchase was made, not any payment details.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or in response to a valid legal process (e.g., a court order).
- Business transfers — if Rylio is acquired or merged with another company, we will notify users before any personal data is transferred, and the acquiring party will be bound by this policy.
In all cases, we share only the minimum information necessary.
Rylio uses iOS local notifications to deliver your reminders at the times you set. All notification scheduling happens entirely on your device — no server is involved in triggering your reminders.
You can manage notification permissions at any time through:
- iOS Settings → Notifications → Rylio
- Rylio app → Settings → Notifications
Disabling notifications will prevent reminders from alerting you, but all your reminder and habit data will remain intact on your device.
Rylio offers an optional premium subscription (Rylio Premium) with monthly, annual, and lifetime plans. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment card details.
Subscription management:
- Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- To restore a previous purchase on a new device, use the "Restore purchases" button on the Rylio Premium screen
For billing disputes or refund requests, please contact Apple Support, as all billing is handled by Apple.
Because Rylio stores your data locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times:
- Access & correction — your reminders, habits, and settings are visible and editable directly within the app
- Deletion — you can delete individual reminders and habits within the app, or remove all app data by deleting the Rylio app from your device
- Purchase data — to request deletion of any subscription-related data held by RevenueCat, contact us at privacy@rylio.app and we will submit the request on your behalf
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have additional rights. To exercise any such rights, contact us at privacy@rylio.app and we will respond within 30 days.
Rylio is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. The app does not require account creation and does not collect personal information, making it safe for users of all ages.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through the app, please contact us at privacy@rylio.app and we will promptly address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable law. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent changes were made.
Continued use of Rylio after changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
